Karl served as the CEO of Childkind, a nonprofit agency serving children with medical and developmental disabilities. He was with Childkind for twenty-nine years.

He also worked for an ecumenical publisher, a US presidential campaign, and for banks in Washington, DC and Baltimore,

He received several awards for his work among children with medical and developmental disabilities, including the Big Voice for Georgia’s Children and the Outstanding Advocacy for Children with Developmental Disabilities.

The Candleberry Tales is Karl’s first published book. The Candleberry Tales 2 is in the works.

Karl resides in Georgia with his beloved wife and son.
